The Classics ClubHello my fellow bookworms, I’m pleased to announce it’s time for The Classic Club’s 26th Spin! To join in simply list any 20 books that remain on your Classics Club list before Sunday, 18th April 2021. On that day, the club will announce the winning number and then all you have to do is read the corresponding book by Monday, 31st May 2021. Here is my list:

Since the last Spin, which had a longer time frame, I have changed my list back to the shorter works and those that I am most excited to read. I am really looking forward to taking part in this event again. My last result was the harrowing Victorian novel, Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell, which deeply moved and gripped me. So wish me luck and come back later in the week to discover what my result is!🀞

  1. All good ones here. The Island of Dr. Moreau is intense but an important book. I liked both of the Bronte titles on your list. I plan to reread Mansfield Park this August. I didn’t really understand Fanny Price the first time around and I want to revisit her. Good luck with the Spin!

  2. If you do get The Count of Monte Cristo I might join you in reading it. I have owned a copy for about a year now and really do mean to read it eventually. Good luck!

    1. Thank you, Judy! I am really hoping to read The Count of Monte Cristo soon, so getting it as my Spin result would be brilliant and it would be lovely to read it together. 😊

  3. Nicholas Nickleby is on my spin list too, but at a different number. I hope you get either The Moonstone, Anne of Green Gables or one of the Dumas books, as I loved all of those! Good luck!
