The Classics ClubHello my fellow bookworms, I’m a little late to the party, due to another busy week at work, but I am super pleased to announce it’s time for The Classic Club’s 27th Spin! Since the last Spin, I have pretty much kept my list the same, just replacing those books I have read/started since then. My result from last time was the science-fiction adventure, The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle, which I had great fun reading. So wish me luck and come back soon to discover what my result is this time!🀞

  1. Ooh, I’m late so already know the winning no – A Princess of Mars! I do hope you enjoy it – I thought it was great fun! Wait till you meet all the different Martian creatures… πŸ˜€

    1. Aw that would have been brilliant, Brona – Sadly I didn’t get an Austen this time, but I will still try to sneak an Austen in August, if I can! 😊

  2. Nicholas Nickleby is on my list too, but at a different number. I’ve read a few of the others on your list and particularly enjoyed The Moonstone, The Black Tulip and Anne of Green Gables. Good luck!

    1. Thank you, Helen – I didn’t get any of those you mentioned, but looking forward to reading them all in, hopefully, the not-to-distant future! 😊

  3. Wives and Daughters is SO GOOD, one of my all-time favorites. I’m not much of a sci-fi reader but I really liked The Invisible Man, much more than Dr. Moreau which was quite disturbing. And what is not to love about Jane Austen and Anne of Green Gables? So many great books on your list!

    1. So pleased to hear you have enjoyed so many book on my list, Karen – I’m afraid I didn’t get any of those you mention this time, but still looking forward to reading them all in, hopefully, the not-to-distant future!
