πŸ“š What I Have Been Reading This Week: 11th January 2023 (#WWWWednesday)

Harry Potter & the Chamber of SecretsGood day, my friends and fellow bookworms, we are halfway through the week again, so today I am going to be sharing with you what I have been reading over the last week for WWW Wednesday; a great weekly reading meme, hosted by Taking on a World of Words, which simply involves answering the following Three Ws:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Now grab a big steaming cup of tea, cocoa or coffee, settle down, get comfy and let’s chat books!

~ Currently Reading ~

πŸ“— Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (Illustrated Edition 2016) – Each night, I have eagerly been tucking myself into bed to re-read, a chapter or two, of this beautifully illustrated edition of this children’s fantasy novel, which I received for Christmas, about Harry’s second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; with his friends, lessons, enemies, a diary, a monster and Dobby the house-elf. Only a couple of chapters left to go!

πŸ“— Fixated: Advent Meditations from the Book of Hebrews by Tim Chester (2020) – At the end of November, I was very blessed to pick up my free copy of this daily devotional, that my church had ordered in bulk for all of the church family to read in preparation for Christmas. Sadly, I was not able to read this everyday of Advent as I had hoped, however what I have read has really inspired and comforted me, so I have continued to read even though Advent has gone.

~ Recently Finished ~

Nothing! I have very much enjoyed everything I have been reading, but I am doing it at a steady, easy pace so nothing finished, just yet.

~ Reading Next ~

Being in the mood for something comforting, such as a much-loved series or a new book from a much-loved author of mine, I think that next I might pick up The Vanished Days by Susanna Kearsley (2021), an historical-fiction revolving around intrigue and revolution in Scotland of the 1700s, where the exile of King James has brought plots, machinations, suspicion and untold bravery to light.

Now I’d love to hear from you, what have you been reading? Or please feel free to share a link for your own WWW post. And I hope to see you again next week for some more bookish chat! πŸ‘‹

  1. A good steady pace and enjoying the books you’re reading is better than a finished book! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!

  2. I’m planning to use a book by Tim Chester for Lent! I’m currently reading In the Sanctuary of Outcasts by Neil White for my book club. It’s very good.

    1. Kelly, I don’t know In the Sanctuary of Outcasts by Neil White, but I hope you’re enjoying and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I also pray you will find Tim Chester’s book helpful in preparing for Easter – Last year, I read Forgiven by Tim Chester for Lent! πŸ™

    1. Thank you for visiting back, Karen 😊 I do love a re-read, but I am woefully behind on my NetGalley reading! πŸ˜… I hope you will find some time to squeeze in some re-reads too.
