Review Policy

I like to keep my reviews simple, fair and honest. As a book lover my main focus is on how I felt about the books and what I enjoyed about them. I use this blog as a sort of reading diary. Posting about all the books I read during the year. I do not like writing negative reviews of books instead I like to point out what I liked and what didn’t work for me hopefully in a polite and respectful way. I love reading new books and I like to make time for re-reading too. I regularly clear down old posts and reviews. This means most posts are viewable for one to two years.

I am happy to receive review copies from authors, publicists or publishers. My favourite genres are fantasy, historical fiction, classics, crime fiction and mysteries. I am also  interested in historical and Christian non-fiction and biographies/memoirs. Please take a look at what I’ve read so far this year to get an idea of the type of book I enjoy.

I can’t guarantee how long it will take me to read and review the books I receive. I will do my best to review them as soon as possible, depending on time demands and my reading mood (I would hate to read a book in the wrong mood for it). I regret that at this time I do not have the time for hosting author interviews, book giveaways, participating in blog tours or posting on any other sites.  Please also note that I am based in the UK.
