Good morning, fellow bookworms. It is ‘Hump Day’ Wednesday which means we are halfway through the working week (if you’re at work). Last week, being stuck at home with my broken foot, I decided to try taking part in WWW Wednesday for the first time. I enjoyed it and you seemed to enjoy it too, so I am going to continue taking part. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, which simply involves answering the following Three Ws:

Currently Reading: Another crime-fiction Agatha Raisin and the Wellspring of Death by M. C. Beaton, which is the sixth book in Beaton’s long-running, cosy-crime series. We re-join our smart dressing, retired-PR executive Agatha for another bumbling, amateur investigation, after she discovers the body of Robert Struthers, chairman of Ancombe Parish Council, who was embrangled in an argument with new mineral-water company over the village well where he was found. If you’re unfamiliar with this charming series, why not check out the first book, Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death.
Recently Finished: The comforting, nostalgic crime-fiction Front Page 
Murder by Peter Bartram, which is the third Crampton of The Chronicle Mystery. This time Colin Crampton, ace crime reporter for the Brighton Evening Chronicle, races against the clock to prove the innocence of postcard artist, Archie Flowerdew before he hangs on Christmas day! I absolutely raced through this gripping, twisting and turning murder mystery – all set in the wonderfully atmospheric 1960’s Brighton. A brilliant start to my R.I.P. XIV reading.
Also, on Sunday, I posted my review of fantasy adventure The Dragon’s Blade: The Last Guardian by Michael R. Miller, the final instalment in Miller’s new, epic fantasy trilogy, The Dragon’s Blade.
Reading Next: I am tempted to either read the Viking murder-mystery Council by Snorri Kristjansson, the second Helga Finnsdottir book, or Jacobean murder-mystery The Poison Bed by E C Fremantle. Both of 
which would be great to continue my R.I.P XIV reading.
I will also shortly be starting a re-read of the wonderful Persuasion by Jane Austen, which was my result for The Classics Club’s Spin #21 event.

It is fun to do these. Glad you have been finding relief from your reading. The last book I finished was A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. I am currently reading two: The Defector, next one in my reading of Daniel Silva’s books and Last Exit From Brooklyn by Hubert Selby, Jr, because this is Banned Books Week and it was banned in 1964. Next up is The Game of Kings by Dunnet. It will be my first book by her and I am excited!

Looks like you’re doing well with R.I.P. so far! I finished reading The Secrets of Lost Stones by Melissa Payne in the wee hours of the morning. That means I’m not currently reading anything and haven’t decided what will come next – always a bit of an exciting feeling!
